Warren Turner (Channel Partner Training and Development, Business Model Analysis)

Warren R. Turner began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in the mid-1980s, working primarily with both publicly owned and privately held clients in the high technology, manufacturing, and distribution industries.

In 1993, he left Andersen as an Enterprise Group Manager to join Dickens Data Systems, Inc., as its Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Over the next five years, he helped transform the company from a small high tech manufacturer to the leading IBM distributor of midrange systems, and, in 1998, he helped Dickens realize its exit strategy of being acquired by a large public company.

Today, Mr. Turner is once again in management consulting. Partner and founder of Cardinal Points Group, LLC, since 1998, he assists the owners and executives of value-added technology resellers, distributors, manufacturers, and independent software vendors in business planning, strategy formulation (growth and exit, transformation), organization structure, business measurements and controls, as well as finance. A passionate advocate of small and medium-sized businesses, Mr. Turner co-authored and developed “Dancing with an Elephant,” a revolutionary financial management course for technology resellers and solutions providers. Working primarily with many leading technology companies, he has taught and shared his insights with thousands of technology resellers and solutions providers, both domestically and internationally.

In 2001, after learning that many former Andersen employees shared his fond memories of the camaraderie and intellectual stimulation of the Andersen culture, Mr. Turner founded www.andersenalumni.com and later incorporated Andersen Alumni Association LLC to help alumni reconnect. The electronic community quickly grew to include former employees from around the world. “Andersen’s work climate teemed with bright, energetic people who inspired one another to perform beyond what seemed possible,” explains Mr. Turner. “Andersen Alumni Association exists to sustain that spirit.” Much like a website for university alumni, www.andersenalumni.com is a forum for Andersen retirees and former employees to reminisce about the good times, post and seek job opportunities, advertise their businesses, share personal and professional news, and tap into the broad range of business experiences and varied resources of their fellow alumni.

Mr. Turner lives in Dunwoody, Georgia, with his wife, Kitty, and their two young daughters. He obtained his degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and has studied at both Harvard and Wharton School of Business. He is a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church, Rotary International, the Auburn University Alumni Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Georgia Society of CPAs. He currently serves on the boards of several privately held technology companies.
